"A body bound by wounds"

The upper half of her body presents a thick swell, and the dominant colour of black and red represents darkness and blood which imply that she is bound by these scars which including the body-shaming verbal assault. Moreover, the two sleeves, with one arm able to move well while the other cannot even be lifted, prove that these bruises have restricted her movement. Also, the lower half of the body does not feel so heavily encircled, and the red gauze appears to be flowing, which combined with the slit in the skirt represents freedom of movement and hints at her desire to change and aspire to a normal life. Moreover, on the side where the upper body is free, the lower body is encased, while on the side where the lower body is free, the upper body is bound. It is a contradictory but wounded body, because, on the one hand, she wants to wrap herself around her body, while on the other hand, she wants to move around easily.
